Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies
 
Ingredients
  • For the Cookie Layer:
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1¼ cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 TBSP vanilla
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 16 ounces chocolate chips
  • For the Brownie Layer

Instructions
  1. For the Cookie Layer:
  2. Cream together the butter and sugars. Add in the egg and vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients and slowly add to the wet ingredients in batches of 2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until the dough has become slightly hard and easier to spread out. Using a rubber spatula, spread the dough in the bottom of the baking sheet, smoothing out.
  3. For the Brownie Layer:
  4. Follow my brownie directions or follow the directions on the box. Pour batter over the cookie dough layer. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the middle.Allow to cool before slicing into pieces
